In 2009 Philotech founded PhiloNet as a partner network of national and international engineering service providers to support the European aviation industry with focus on EADS to cope with the aviation industry policy to significantly reduce the number of prime contractors. 

 

EADS - E2S Process

EADS has initiated the strategic project E2S (E2S stands for Engineering to Suppliers) to streamline the supply chain for Engineering Services and hence to reduce the number of suppliers.

As a result of the E2S assessment and selection process Philotech has been awarded as "EADS E2S preferred supplier for engineering services" since 2009. As a consequence several smaller and medium sized aviation companies are no longer in a position to be contracted directly by EADS divisions and business units.

PhiloNet addresses this demand and serves as a platform to leverage the competences of all partners in the network and to subcontract dedicated work packages.

E2S supplier selection is valid for work packages for engineering services (no AÜG) for a period of about two years. 

The selection process for 2011 has been started and the selection results are expected to be published at the end 2011. Philotech with PhiloNet is very optimistic to maintain the first tier supplier status.
